We believe science is the most powerful tool humans have to change the world for good. But we've also accumulated decades of scar tissue from seeing incredible new ideas get trapped at the bench. We founded Transfyr to make it easier for brilliant people to collaborate and translate new ideas to new contexts and scales. Our foundation is observability, enabling AI models to develop a deeper mechanistic understanding of scientific execution and facilitate otherwise painful documentation, handoffs, and troubleshooting. We’re well-funded and are building an exceptional, multi-disciplinary team to tackle some of the hardest problems at the frontier of AI and of science.

Anna Marie dreamed of being a scientist, studying molecular biology before she gave up and switched to math (much easier!). She started her career as a technology investor before joining Ginkgo to lead strategic transactions (including taking them public) and build the AI team. Before starting Transfyr, Anna Marie spent nearly a year advising companies at the cutting edge of AI and Bio, where these bottlenecks were reinforced.

Renee stuck with science all the way through a post-doc in bioengineering and scientific roles in a couple biotech startups. She then transitioned to funding moonshots as a program manager at DARPA. Renee and Anna Marie met at Ginkgo, where Renee led strategy and BD for the Biosecurity business. After Ginkgo and before co-founding Transfyr, Renee was the inaugural Director of ARPA-H.

Compensation (salary + equity) is competitive and scales with experience and responsibility. We also offer full benefits including flexible free or low-cost health insurance, 401(k) with match, lunch subsidies, etc.
